Terrorist / criminals chopped ten fiber-optic cables at four different locations and killed landlines, cell phones and Internet service for tens of thousands of people in Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties on Thursday, April 9, 2009.

The sabotage caused havoc with hospitals, stores, banks, police and fire departments. 911, computerized medical records, ATM's, credit and debit cards all were temporarily "broken" by the attack.

While FBI and other Law Enforcement vow they will catch the criminals, they still do not know what the objective of the attack was. Was it to just cause problems? Was it a test run for something bigger? Were the cut cables used for access to something? Was it a cover for a major crime?

Pretty much all they do know is that the cut cables caused major problems in the daily lives of thousands of people.
