amazon

Let me make clear that I love amazon. That is the reason I promote them even though everyone has heard of them and any click on my links is more to reward me for my content than because someone found an advertiser they didn't know about.

Sometimes it is because I have mined products from their catalog that people wouldn't otherwise have thought about. I wish that was more often the case, but I am guessing probably not the rule.

Because publishers can't profit from their own purchases at amazon, other publishers are often the ones who show me kindness. Much thanks for that. Although I don't know who does what, I can't directly reward the kindness, I do similar for other publishers.

But companies, even good ones, have issues that at times causes ruffled feathers and cause harsh words.

I was looking over cosumer complaints against amazon on a site. Most complaints involve third party sellers either getting stiffed by consumers or consumers getting stiffed by third party sellers. Among the complaints was someone who bought something from a third party seller and ended up on a mailing list. Not cool!!! But look, when people sell books for 1 cent on amazon plus shipping, do you think their profit is just coming from shipping?????????? In some cases they actually are (because they are trying to compete against the bad guys) and there is nothing wrong with them, but in some cases it is the bad guys who are doing it strictly to build both an internet mailing list and a snail mail mailing list.

Love Amazon, but not all third party sellers on Amazon are deserving of that same love.
