Of Corruption, Misdirection, and Earmarks

Obama is making an issue of whether McCain and Palin really would reduce earmarks.

But see, the problem is, though the propagandist want the American people to think of earmarks as the corruption, that isn't where the corruption is.

States need so called bridges to no where, because that is one of the first steps in building somewhere. Here in Georgia, how many things we take for granted would not exist if not for Federal Spending in our state. The same can be said for every state in the Union.

Some of my best memories happened at Stone Mountain Park, back before the state handed the park over to some soul-less corporation. (Originally various venues at the Park were handled by small, independent vendors.) But my point is that the Park would not exist if Federal Dollars had not been earmarked.

Museums that help to add culture to American Cities are as much about education as any School building. Even if the museum ia about Rock Music that is still American culture and that is something worth learning about. That is still something that adds value to American Cities.

Grants to American colleges, under Reagan, proved to be a major source of growing small business into big business. A large number of businesses were incubated and became successful from those programs. If America goes down the path of where either McCain or Obama want to lead, how many future businesses that might have been, will never be.

General Electric that, under Clinton, helped make North Korea a nuclear power is the source of a major part of the propaganda against so called earmarks. This is the same company that wanted the Federal Government to cover any cost that might arrive from a nuclear "accident" from their business dealings in North Korea. Yeah, they oppose so called earmarks but they never mind going to the Federal Government with their own f'ing hand out.

GE is a company that puts propaganda out against farm subsidies but then turns around and wants the federal government to basically subsidize the import of ethanol from other nations. What the heck is that about????

American States and American Cities are in economic distress and yet America's two primary political parties, these two treasonous organizations, want to confuse the American people into voting against the self interest of the communities of where they, American people, live. They'd rather this money instead continue to go to funding competition against American small business and American workers.

The corruption is not earmarks in themself. The corruption is not giving money to American states. The corruption is not giving money to American Cities.

The corruption is the subsidies to foreign business and UnAmerican Multi-Nationals like GE and Haliburton and various foreign banks that support Anti-American Activities, that promote the hatred of American Culture, that promote the destruction of American Small Business and American workers. The corruption for example is the political hacks attacking the state of Georgia when Georgia passed laws against predatory lending. The Federal Government helped the same companies the Feds are currently helping to bail out put the screws to Georgia to change the law back to allow predatory lending. That collusion between big business and big government at the expense of states, cities, small business, and workers is the corruption. Earmarks in themself is not the corruption.

The Obamas and the McCains may be citizens of the world. I am a citizen of the community where I live, and this is where my priority is, and this is where I want the priority of the Federal Government to be.

Earmarks to American communities is not the corruption. Allowing American communities to fall into disrepair and to be ravaged by poverty and crime is the corruption. It is the treason.

For either McCain or Obama to claim to be agents of change is as laughable as the distorted mirrors in a fun house.

In United States politics,

In United States politics, earmarks refer to congressional provisions that direct approved funds to be spent on specific projects, or that direct specific exemptions from taxes or mandated fees.

Earmarks can be found in both legislation (also called "Hard earmarks" or "Hardmarks") and in the text of Congressional committee reports (also called "Soft earmarks" or "Softmarks"). Hard earmarks are binding and have the effect of law, while soft earmarks do not have the effect of law but by custom are acted on as if they were binding.[1] Typically, legislators seek to insert earmarks which direct a specified amount of money to a particular organization or project in his/her home state or district.

Politically, the propaganda against earmarks is that they are stuck in larger pieces of legislation and without enough public scrutiny.

In truth, earmarks receive as much scrutiny or perhaps even more scrutiny than other elements of the bloated piece of legislation.

A case can rightfully be made that no legislation or treaty should be allowed that is so large that Congress itself does not know what is in it.

But the way deals are cut, in some cases the only way members of Congress can get the funding they need for their district, is through earmarks. The real purpose of the propaganda against earmarks is to increase the power of the executive branch of the Federal Government while weakening states and cities.

Both the Democrat Party and Republican Party currently find states so repugnant against their Federalism and their Globalism, they went so far as to denie two states equal particpation in primary votes this election cycle. Citizens of states have got to start taking a stand against both political parties as the Parties attempt to increase their power at the Federal Level at the expense of states and cities at the local level.

States have got to demand that all primaries be held on the same day and they be elections with a secret ballot. Caucuses by nature have the potential for corruption and should not be recognized by states in who they allow on the ballot in the General Election.

When a state does not recognize the validity of the way the party held an election in their state, the name of the candidate should not be allowed on the ballot and instead the names of the electors should be put on the ballot.

States need to fight the corruption of the Federal Political Parties by using the Electoral College.
