Palin Interviews
Some in the media have been making a big deal because Palin has turned down interviews.
Given the behavior of much of cable media, that recently has degenerated little better, if that, than public access TV she should do her first interviews with print media, radio, and local television stations.
The Cable Media has a gross, exaggerated sense, of itself. Most candidates running against McCain and Obama made a mistake in that they allowed themselves to become minimized by cable TV.
Taking a clue from Jimmy Cater's pr dude Jody Powell, husband of my 7th grade math teacher, I suggest one of Palin's first interviews be with Playboy Magazine with the interview conducted by Christie Hefner. I guess that could backfire but I think, regardless of what some feminists might suggest, Playboy has done as much to advance the rights of women than any other media. It is fitting that she should do the interview with Playboy. Perhaps to soften the potential backfire from cable's crap stirrers, have the interview as a round table with other powerful women.
