The Sarah Silverman Program - Season One (DVD -2007)

Runtime: 132 minutes

The series, which apparently ended in April, earned Sarah Silverman a lead actress Emmy nomination last year. The Sarah Silverman Program was on the brink of cancellation after its second season. Comedy Central wanted to slash the show's budget by 20 percent. Sister network Logo (A station geared toward alternative lifestyle and Gay Friendly Audiences) co-financed the program in order to make the third season possible.

Sarah Silverman is the kind of comedic artist that throws a lot of stuff at the wall. Some of it is really funny and some of it makes uptight people want to give the wall a good washing. I'd rather people take chances with comedy and not always play it safe.

Some people say Sarah Silverman's material is geared toward shock value as though that is a bad thing.

Anyways, Comedy Central had a good talent and they and their sponsors didn't appreciate it.
