Not Going to Join the Catholic Church
Opinion By Shirtless Preacher
Before I start my ramble and rant, let me make clear, I have nothing against people who happen to be Catholic as long as they don't expect me to believe what they believe or expect me to be overly respectful toward the Pope, the Church Hierarchy, or Catholics Preaching in the Media as though they are not trying to advance a Catholic agenda.
When Catholics in the Media preach that “Hispanics” will be the majority in America soon, that is wishful thinking by a group who want to claim “Hispanics“ as their own. Beyond Geographic & Language Stereotyping there is no such thing as an "Hispanic." It is largely a made up political word. In two to three generations most "Hispanics" are not distinguishable from any other American. Probably up to half of them will move toward the Protestant faith that is more inclusive than exclusive. And the Pope’s promoting hate against Gay’s is not going to change that.
When blacks attempt to try to claim the made up “Hispanic” population they are about like the European Catholic Community trying to claim this group. The majority will never vote with the black population to advance a black agenda that has nothing to do with them any more than they will vote with the European Catholic Community that has little to do with their culture. So called “Hispanics” will vote American as most Individuals do who do not have a special, bias, agenda.
Most “Hispanics” are no less white than the Spanish, French, Polish, Anglicans, or other Europeans who migrated to America. And they will find the American Protestant Community no less inviting than past Catholic Immigrants. In America, the path toward economic advancement and freedom from intolerance is most often found by joining the Liberal Protestant Community.
Although what I am saying totally contradicts what the Catholics in the media propagandize on a regular basis, that is the truth. No matter how narrow minded the Catholic Community attempts to paint the Protestant Community, daily experience leads people to where the true tolerance is found. For example, Baptist in whole might not support Gay marriage but they are much less likely to ostracize known gay couples from their community. Of course there are exceptions. But the great thing about the Protestant Community is that if one church is made up of a bunch of narrow minded assholes you can be sure to find a much more tolerant church in the same community.
The Protestant Community is as it always has been built on individualism and tolerance of that individualism. Any time people in the media start screaming school uniforms you can pretty much be sure where that intolerance for individualism is coming from. I am not saying there aren’t a bunch of intolerant assholes in the Protestant Community just as in the Catholic Community. I am saying that the Protestant Community is less organized and more flexible so that tolerant individuals are more likely to find their voices heard.
If the Pope is attempting to use hate against Gays as a recruitment tool, in the end, who is going to find their religious affiliation numbers going up.
Martin Luther King Jr., the ultimate Preacher of Love, Tolerance, Understanding, and Hope was a Baptist Preacher. That is the sermon Americans, who come from all areas of planet earth, most want to hear.

I think on some level all
I think on some level all churches do some good and all churches do some bad.
I consider myself a spiritual person but I don't feel the need to join some gang (aka church) to prove I am a spiritual being. But I don't look down on anyone who does. The great thing about America is that religion is the individual choice of everyone.
Good to read your post Shirtless. I always enjoy you, even when I disagree.
