Like Bush, Obama cares more about public relations than keeping USA and European soldiers safe. Liberals, who in part supported Obama because they thought he would get our troops out of harms way, are showing their true colors by not showing equal contempt toward Obama's wars that they showed for Bush's wars.

Taliban militants, blending with Afghanistan Civilians who cower to the Taliban, stole two tanker trucks. The story is that civilians gathered to siphon off stolen gas. German officials correctly say that the Taliban could have used the Tanker to make suicide bombs. The Germans ordered an airstrike on the two stolen tankers. Afghan officials, who some suggest have cooperated with the Taliban occupying villages in the past, say that up to 70 people were killed in the airstrike.

Our government says that the Germans allowed too much time to pass before entering the area held by Taliban terrorist. Our government apparently wanted the Germans to be sitting ducks, entering an area without air support to protect from the Taliban, under the name of investigating the airstrikes so as to be able to better counter claims by the Taliban.

In what fucking universe does an information / misinformation campaign become more important that an actual military campaign and keeping our/European soldiers safe?????

Look. It is terrible when innocent people get killed. But that happens in war. If the risk to the lives of civilians and our solders a like is not worth the potential goal then we don't need our soldiers on the ground. If there is a goal, a clear objective, then attempt to accomplish that goal with as little collateral civilian damage as possible. But don't second guess our soldiers and European soldiers and put their lives at risk just to be pissing in the wind.

You don't assess how much damage an airstrike has done by sending ground troops into an area until it is clear that they will not be the victim of snipers. In fact the majority of our ground troop activities in Afghanistan need to be curtailed. Making resources available for terrorist to steal needs to be stopped. Hot beds of Taliban activities such as areas where they are training terrorist for attacks around the world need to be bombed.

All we need in Afghanistan is a strike force from the air approach against the Taliban run by our airforce. Sending American and European ground troops into Afghanistan to be sitting ducks is fucking retarded. I think the old Soviets proved how that approach doesn't work!!!!

Other than stopping terrorist from using Afghanistan and Iraq as terrorist training grounds, there is really not much of any other goal to accomplish. Hell, putting our troops and European troops on the ground just helps the son of a bitching terrorist fuckers in their training exercises which includes training to blend in. We sure as hell don't need to inadvertently help train the crazy bastard terrorist cause if our leaders do that, that makes them the more crazy bastards; or worse, traitors.
