Governor Mark Sanford Victim???

Yes, Gov. Mark Sanford brought this on himself. But people in South Carolina need to remember his marriage has nothing to do with them. If he used taxpayer money to travel to Argentina then that is an issue. His behaving as a liar is an issue. But his sex life is his sex life and even politicians have a right to keep what happens in their bedrooms in their bedrooms. A politician's sex life should not be an issue!!!

The publishing of emails to Sanford's mistress makes this news story an obvious smear campaign against Sanford. This same type of thug politics has been used by some in the media against John Edwards so it is not a Democrat / Republican thing.

Whether you agree or disagree with Mark Sandford on the issues, he is a needed voice in the debate on the various issues. To have him and John Edwards silenced because their peckers got them in trouble hurts the nation by far more than it hurts them. Their public service and their voice in American Politics is for our benefit. Both Mark Sanford and John Edwards can vanish from the political scene and it doesn't hurt them. It hurts us as voters!!!

When the media attacks people like John Edwards and Mark Sanford because of their sex life, as a way to silence their intellect, it is not just an attack on them. It is an attack on all of us who are less than perfect.

Mark Sanford and John Edwards and everyone should take a lesson from Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and others who have been treated badly by the media because of their imperfections. Just hold your head up high and keep on keeping on. Don't deprive your fans of your talents just because of a few assholes in the media.
