Josh Hartnett hospitalized with stomach trouble

Update: Josh Hartnett says not to worry about his hospital visit. And to underscore that he was seen about the Miami Party Circuit in full Party Mode back April 10 shortly after leaving hospital.

Film Wise: Movie Bunraku where he plays a drifter is in post production.

Directed by Guy Moshe from a script written by Guy Moshe, the title of the film is based on a 400-year-old form of Japanese puppet theater, a style of storytelling that uses 4-foot-tall puppets with highly detailed heads, each operated by several puppeteers who blend into the background wearing black robes and hoods.

LOS ANGELES — Josh Hartnett's publicist says the 30-year-old actor has been taken to a Los Angeles hospital with gastrointestinal problems. Publicist Susan Patricola said Hartnett was transported by ambulance at 1:45 a.m. Monday to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She said in a statement that he "is under observation but is resting comfortably."

Patricola said Hartnett had a flare-up of a gastrointestinal issue that affected him while he was starring in an onstage production of "Rain Man" in London last year.

No other details have been provided.

Hartnett has appeared in the films "Black Hawk Down," "Sin City," "40 Days and 40 Nights" and "The Black Dahlia."

Joshua Daniel Hartnett born (July 21, 1978) in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and raised mostly by his father, Daniel Hartnett (a building manager), and stepmother, Molly (an artist).[2] He has three younger half-siblings, named Jessica, Jake and Joe and has Irish ancestry.[3] He grew up in Saint Paul and was raised Roman Catholic,[4] attending Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Grade School, where he played Adam Apple in an eighth grade production of "Krazy Kamp". He later attended Cretin-Derham Hall High School before switching to South High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from which he graduated in June 1996. Hartnett played football in high school, but stopped because of a broken left knee. Josh has lived in San Francisco.

He got his first job at a local video store. But had also worked at McDonalds and Burger King for a short time before getting his start in acting at Youth Performance Company in Minneapolis. He became a vegetarian at the age of 12 but temporarily returned to meat eating during the shooting of The Black Dahlia.
