Not Going to Join the Catholic Church

Before I start my ramble and rant, let me make clear, I have nothing against people who happen to be Catholic as long as they don't expect me to believe what they believe or expect me to be overly respectful toward the Pope, the Church Hierarchy, or Catholics Preaching in the Media as though they are not trying to advance a Catholic agenda.

Everyone wants their politicians to have ethics, morals and so voters, even atheist (which in itself is a religion of sorts) tend to prefer candidates who have a religious background, even if that religion is not their own. |
I do not believe that Death is a deep sleep in waiting for our resurrection
I was flipping channels this morning and watching different preachers and on one channel was some dude trying to sell a book and tapes. His entire bit was to tell people what happens to us when we die, as if he knows.
We all have our ideas on what death is like. But we all have our doubts even in what we sort of believe. Anyone who says they have no doubts is either a fool or a liar. I think doubt is okay. I think doubt is healthy.

I have been rich and I have been poor and homeless. I have been a beggar. I have been a charity giver.
I do not have a church. I am here to post thoughts. I am NOT here to ask for money, so do NOT make offerings to me.
In many cases I do NOT take the Bible literally.
